Contest: Win a GPS System!

I thought I would help in somebody’s Christmas shopping by having another contest this week. Up for grabs is a portable GPS system – this particular model has “text-to-speech” capabilities which means the audible voice will pronounce (or try to anyways!) street names – which makes for a MUCH nicer GPS experience (trust me on that one). The non text-to-speech models will only say “turn right in 100 metres” as opposed to “turn right in 100 metres on Yonge Street”.

Anyways, the particular model is the Magellan Maestro 3225 GPS, and the one that I am giving away is a refurbished unit purchased from Tigerdirect.ca. They are not sponsoring the prize, but I’m just mentioning them because I’ve always got some pretty good deals at the store so you may want to check them out too. A brand new unit currently retails for about $240 and the refurbished units sell for about $100.     I found a site where you can buy stocks as gifts. I wish there were more Canadian companies on the list, but there are still some pretty good contenders…with xmas coming, I just thought what do you get people that don’t need any more stuff???

  107. i would love to have a gps so we don't get lost like we have a few times and its nerve racking and plus my uncle is disabled so its hard for him to drive for so long without hurting and when we get lost the longer he has to drive and hurts more
