Thanks for the podcast and thanks to Barry for sharing his story about the untrustworthy adviser! Its really too bad when advisers put their own interests ahead of their clients!
I am a 29 year old that came to the same conclusions as Berry regarding index investing. I also use the e-series/index ETFs and have similar saving habits, but I am not a deal hunter. He talked a little about the problems educating friends and family. I have had a hard time as well because I make more money than most of my friends and I don’t want to come off like a dick talking about all my investments and how much better they are then what they have. I try to give people that seem interested access to information and hope they actually look into it and let them draw their own conclusions. I feel like I have a duty to tell people but it is a fine like to walk.
