CBC extended another invite to be on The Lang and O’Leary Exchange which is hosted by Amanda Lang and Kevin O’Leary. Kevin was on vacation and Andrew Coyne stepped in for him. Below is the link for the video, which is the full one-hour episode. If you just want to catch my bit, fast forward to about the 41:00 mark and it lasts about 5 or 6 minutes from there.
Click here for the link (there will be a 15 second commercial that plays before the video starts, then you can just drag the slider to fast forward.)

Good interview.
Not enough (current or former) advisors speak to the consumer. The individual investor who watched your segment learned something useful.
I especially appreciated the mention of conservative option strategies.

Patrick
Disappointingly short! It would have been better with another half hour of Preet.
Preet
@ Mark – thanks for the note.
@ Patrick – lol – perhaps there will be an opportunity to come back in the future. :)
Cam Birch
Excellent interview though I would have to agree that it was sadly short.
Maybe you should start a periodic series on your blog with a video Q&A or even video advice sections like this CBC thing. I loved your ING pieces, I would be quite happy to see more of that, even if they aren’t you doing an interview just you giving some good video based advice. I find it much easier to point a friend or relative to a good video explanation of something and there isn’t all that much good and video based (at least Canadian) on the web now.
Preet
@Cam Birch – thanks for the note and the great suggestion. Perhaps I’ll do a video post once a week, 2 to 5 minutes to explain simple concepts from a Canadian perspective. Great idea!
Brian
Great job Preet, you’re getting better and better everytime I watch you. journalists and anchors talk so fast sometimes, but you didn’t even stumble.
Seems like the audience for this TV show isn’t your regular DIY index investor, but more of the white-collar business person type.
Keep up the great work!
Preet
@Brian – thanks! It does get easier and easier once you get used to it. My first live interview felt like I had cotton balls in my mouth because I was so nervous. :)
Sampson
Congrats and great job. Seems like you confused Amanda Lang a few times though… ;)
Preet
@Sampson – lol – I doubt it – Amanda is incredibly sharp-minded.
The Rat
Great job on the interview Preet!

Kevin needs to learn the very basics of good behaviour. He may have money but he is a vulgar, dumb, and a very rude pompous person.
