I suppose there are still some people who don’t know the results of the Ultimate W Expert Challenge (because I still get phone calls and emails asking who won as I didn’t actually post the results on the blog, only in the comments section). I’m happy to announce that yours truly was the winner and the prize was a development deal with the W Network to create a show for me to host. I’ll keep you posted on the progress and thanks for everyone’s support!

This Week’s Racing Video
Since I just bought a go-kart (picking it up on Saturday), I thought I would post a go-kart video. But not just any go-kart, a go-kart that can go crazy fast. The kart I bought is capable of about 100km/h or so, not the ones you see at the indoor karting tracks for kiddies, that’s just too slow… :) Enjoy!
If you are new to WhereDoesAllMyMoneyGo.com, every Friday I run a post called “A Lap Of The Blogs” which provides links to articles I found interesting and think that others may want to read for themselves. I also sometimes include some commentary on what’s going on in my personal life and a weekly “racing video” since my former life was in the auto-racing industry. The name “Lap of the Blogs” is in reference to “A Lap Of The Gods” which is an old video series which chronicled on-board footage of the world’s greatest F1 drivers lapping various racetracks from around the world. NOTE: you have to visit the actual website to see the embedded video – it may not appear in your email. Just click on the title of the email to see it…

Thanks for the mention and congrats on your victory on the W Channel! Have a superb weekend.

I had no idea. Must have missed the comments section. That’s one of the difficulties when reading blogs via RSS feed.
Congratulations.
It’s a great prize for you and a chance for Canadians to get some excellent financial advice.
Michael James
Nice video. I think if I tried one of those go-karts, it would only take me seconds to go from zero to worm food :-)
Congratulations on the W network victory. The way things were going, I was surprised that they picked you, but I think they made a great choice.

Congrats!!! I look forward to your show. I generally do my financial shows from my PVR 5 at a time. I sit through 5 and see how it helps me. Currently I watch Gail vaz(can’t spell her last name) and Suze (but I think Suze is getting to be a bit broken record-ish for me.
I love your line:
Million Dollar Journey talks about Financial Regrets. I regret not winning the lottery.
Me too.

Thanks for the link and congrats on the show! I am glad you are going to malls everywhere and asking whether people are engaging in insider trading. The OSC is probably quite pleased! Haha.

Hey, great news. Congrats, Preet!

Your own TV show AND a new go-kart?!? Preet, I’m dying with envy.
Thanks for the link. Wear a helmet.
Cam Birch
I’m expecting a video of you in your new super speed go-cart soon :). Congratulations.
Million Dollar Journey
So are you coming to NL with your new show?
Thanks for the link and congrats on the new go-kart! What do one of those cost these days? I was on an indoor track in Montreal, not quite as intense as the ones in the video, but quite fast by my standards!
Preet
@MDJ: A brand spanking new kart like the one I bought with the data acquisition equipment would be about $8K. But we got a smoking deal on a used kart for $1700.
I have no idea on much of the details of the show! It is in development, which means that the concept and budget is being worked on, and at this point it is not a given that it will even make it to air… but fingers crossed!!! :)

Is this not illegal?? What will happen to Kevin Flaherty now?? Will he be charged with theft??
